Well hello April. It’s officially spring, although it doesn’t consistently feel like it. I’m sitting down with Coco, Deborah and you for a catch-up session over a nice beverage. I’m going with my usual: coffee splashed with half & half and collagen.
April Showers With a Side of Coffee
Over coffee I’d ask you if you enjoyed any spring break travels. We did not, and it was just as well since we’re in the throes of new puppy training. We do have a big summer trip planned. That’ll be here before we know it and I’m excited!
Of course I’ll give you a pupdate. Romeo is the sweetest little guy and he’s already potty trained indoors. He can’t go outside until he has all his shots (in 3 weeks) so for now he’s rocking the puppy pads like a champ. We are also making a concerted effort to not offer him table scraps since we don’t want begging and not letting him sleep in our bed. Knock wood, it’s all going great so far.
Over coffee I’d ask about your weather. In typical Chicago-area style, we are up and down. It can be almost 80 one day then literally freezing the next. The high winds are especially heinous this year. I so want to get going on the garden and my deck, but it’s just too early still. One can dream though!
That’s about it from here. What would you tell me over coffee?
What are you looking forward to this month?
A big summer trip? That sounds amazing – I can’t wait to hear where you are headed for!
It’s smart to teach Romeo not to beg at the table. Once that habit sets in, it’s almost impossible to undo.
Omg. Romeo. He is the cutest cutie in the entire world. i’m realizing I would be a terrible puppy owner, because I would totally be feeding him table scraps and letting him sleep in my bed. I mean- I just want to snuggle with him all night long!
Ooh, I can’t wait to hear about your big summer trip! I’ll be going, once again, to Waco. But THEN! I’ll be up in your neck of the woods in September, woohoo! I’m excited for that.
Oh a big summer trip sounds ideal – can’t wait to hear more!
Romeo is just the cutest! We’re gearing up for puppy training too – I hope ours goes as smoothly as yours did.
Your weather there is nuts! We beat the spring break rush by going skiing early in march. We have a few trips planned for May that will be here before we know it. Romeo is the cutest!
I am loving all of the Romeo (p)updates! He really is a little cutie.
Can’t wait to hear where your summer trip will take you. We’ve got a road trip to Glacier National Park planned (with our bikes) late June/early July. Summer will be hear before we know it!
Sweet Romeo!!! Good for him on the puppy pad training! The wind has been simply insane in Iowa as well. Amazingly, my patio table has withstood the winter wrath (much more wind than snow), but I’m not ready to bring out the chairs yet.
Our weather has been wacky this spring! I just want it to warm up, ok?
I don’t know if I should meet Romeo because I just might squeeze him into my pocket and take him home. SO CUTE!
Romeo is adorable!! <3 Your deck looks gorgeous too — I love all the colorful flowers.
Where are you headed for summer vacation? (I hope you have a ton of fun! :] )
Romeo is SUCH A CUTIE!!! Good call on being strict with those things. I never feed Scooby my food so he never begs from me, but he expects certain scraps from my husband and stares him down until he relents!
It was in the 30s one morning this week and in the 70s yesterday. I think winter is giving up now.
I know I say this all of the time but I am over this weather. Mother Nature cannot make up her mind. I didn’t go anywhere for Spring Break and that is fine with me. How exciting about your Summer trip. Do share. Romeo is adorable!!
Romeo is the cutest ever.
We have the same weather… I feel like Albany should be called the Windy City and yes 75 one day and 30 the next. I am very ready to shred those layers.
