Can you believe we’re heading into the latter part of October already? Holiday advertising is becoming ever more prevalent but all I wanna do is enjoy fall a bit longer before thinking about the holidays and the end of the year. I had two weekends off in a row, which basically never happens, so my goal was to pretend this week was one big “holiday” week, even though it wasn’t. Does that make any sense? No it does not. Anywho, here’s how the workouts went,
Sunday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run 4 miles
Monday: Walk 4 miles, Strength + Core
Tuesday: Walk 4 miles, rest
Wednesday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run 5 miles
Thursday: Travel to ATL
Friday: ATL
Saturday: ATL
Running and a Trip to ATL
I started the week with quality time on some beautiful trails before we headed off to a Bears game. The trip to Soldier Field was not an easy one, no thanks to extensive road construction.
It was a perfect day for some football with friends, alas the Bears were consistent with their losing ways.
It got cold enough this week to bring out the winter outerwear. We’ve been hearing the gunshots of hunters while out on our walks and poor Ozzy is not a fan to say the least.
The latter part of the week includes a trip to Atlanta for a visit with our older daughter. I’m writing this ahead of time so I’ll have a recap of our travels next week. We’ll be attending another football game, this time at her alma mater. Those college years sure flew by.

Yes, it’s that time again. Join me right here this Friday and let it all out. You know you want to.
How was your week? Is your winter gear out? College football or NFL?
I’m linking up with Kim and Deborah for the Weekly Run Down. Join us!

Hope you had a really great time in Atlanta! It is fun to go to football games even if they don’t end in your team winning. We are enjoying some great Philly sports weekends over here w my boys cheering on their Eagles and Phillies

Enjoy your family time this weekend!
Thankfully no hunting near us, but there is some in one of the preserves I run at and also not too far from the bike path.
The road construction here is off the charts! The short drive up to Olana was interesting due to road work (which I had no idea they were doing).

Ooh, your fall pics are so pretty! To answer your question- I think I like college football better, but I love watching NFL as well. I’m in the fortunate position (this year) of being a Dolphins fan, but the Bears are my other team. Yes, they’ve had a rough start!
I say, everything should stay fall-ish till Thanksgiving. On Black Friday we can switch over to Christmas, but not before!
i hope you’re having a great time in Atlanta!

Hope you’re continuing to have a great time in Atlanta!
College football 100% over the NFL… I type as I’m about to turn on the Commanders game. LOL

Hope you have this weekend.
Not a football fan anymore.
It’s been in the 40s but I’m still sticking to my skirts for running.

I’m sure you enjoyed your break in Atlanta!
South Africa has made it into the final round of the Rugby World Cup in Paris yesterday. All our friends are super excited about it and “made” us watch with them. Now even I know what a “scrum” and a “try” is!

I hope you’re enjoying your time in Atlanta! I didn’t hear any gunshots on the trails this morning, but I did see the hunters.
The Bears are crushing it today–it would have been a great game to be at!

I’ve worn the winter jacket a couple times to work (and for walking), but the running has had me *still* in “seasonal” gear. You probably know I’m a huge NCAA football (and basketball) fan. We don’t have any NFL goings on here, in Iowa, so I’ve never gotten that interested in watching the games, other than the Super Bowl.

I hope you had an amazing time in Atlanta! October really did fly by, it always does…since there’s no real Halloween or Thanksgiving, it seems like everything here is very much in Christmas mode already!
Ozzy is like Ruth and Matilda- not a hunting dog 🙂

Hope you’ve had a lovely time in Atlanta. As I’m sure I’ve said before, it’s somewhere I’d really like to return to one day.

Winter gear! The thoughts make me cringe as I sit here in central Italy with 25C. But I know it’s coming for us to when we get home later next week. Looks like some nice autumn colours where you are!

It’s hard to believe your daughter is attending college games as an alum — that time did fly!
I heard an ad this weekend for “early Black Friday savings” and I was so confused!

Sounds like a very football themed week! Can’t wait to read about your trip!
