Here we are, prepping for Halloween and the final weekend of October. Before we welcome November, let’s open the Runfessional for some Halloween Runfessions. It’s always a good idea, don’t you think?
Halloween Runfessions
There’s a segment of trail I run on, that goes behind various residential properties. I told you about the guy who’s frequently out raking the trail, planting trees in the forest, etc. Recently someone else put the above sign out along the trail. I runfess I’m not sure if this is a Halloween joke…or something else.
You know I usually enjoy taking FRPs, that’s code for “fake running pics”. Lately though I’ve taken hardly any. I runfess it might be because one of my favorite tree stumps to setup my phone has been toppled. The struggle is real.
Over the years the number of trick or treaters we get in our ‘hood has waned. Usually this makes me sad. Last year I’m not sure we got a single kid. This year I runfess I am not too sad about this because have you seen the price of candy lately? Eek! Not to mention I do not need leftover candy laying around.
Ok your turn! What have you to runfess? Any Halloween fun/costumes planned? What’s your favorite Halloween candy?
I’m also linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!

That tree sign is epic! The interest in dressing-up at work has dramatically waned, so we’re just having it be a snack day. There was only a handful of us who got into the spirit anyways, but it’s still a bummer to see the enthusiasm fading for some in-office fun. We don’t get many kids at the house either, so it’s always been a crapshoot on how much candy to buy.

We don’t get many kids on our street anymore. I am sure I can pull out a costume for one of those fake running pics lol,

LOL on that sign!
I feel your pain in the loss of your tree stump! I’m using my neighbor’s steps for my Scooby shots.
We’ve got more kids in our street this year but who knows if they will come up the hill to our house?
Michelle says
Oh my gosh that sign LOL! Let’s hope they’re kidding 😉
For the past couple of years, my neighborhood has organized a Halloween parade that ends at the playground down the street. We all put our bowls of candy and it’s a lot less chaotic than trick-or-treating on a “school night” – which reminds me, I runfess that I still haven’t bought candy yet!

Oh, that’s funny- I thought that picture of the sign was something you pulled off the internet- but it’s real! Well, someone has a sense of humor. I hope.
We get a fair amount of trick or treaters in our neighborhood, and I’m ready! The house is decorated and the candy is bought. I always get sour patch kids because my daughter loves them- but I don’t, so I wouldn’t be tempted to eat it even if I were going to eat candy. No dressing up for me, but I do have a “spooky” hair clip that I’ll be wearing to work.
Oh, on the FRPs- I have a couple standard places to put my phone on my usual routes- I would be a little lost too if one of them disappeared.

FRP!!! Yes, our photos deserve a proper acronym! What a brilliant idea, that’s what I’ll be calling them from now on.
Kai is my tree stump, I’m not skilled enough to take my own photos. He’s become quite an FRP expert.
Not much Halloween over here, which I don’t mind at all. 🙂

We get some in our building but I only buy a little candy that we like in case it’s left over – LOL.
Sorry about your tree stump!
Jenn says
I love the sign LOL!
I hate when my natural tripods vanish or get destroyed. So annoying.
We don’t get many kids on our street. We may go to another friends’ houses instead. A has to work and then may go out with a buddy in another neighborhood. Things are changing, for sure.

We have more kids for Halloween. I hope I have enough candy.
My favorite is my kit cats.
I know which trails have camera tripods lol.

Scary sign!
Here we don’t have many kids for Halloween.
