Our 5-day adventure at ZOOMA Amelia Island was exhausting but so much fun at the same time. I suppose that adventure deserves it’s own post so I’ll focus on this past week after I returned home. Here’s how the workouts went:
Monday: Return from Amelia Island, early work
Tuesday: Walk 4 miles, Trail run 4 miles
Wednesday: Walk 4 miles, Strength + Core
Thursday: Walk 4 miles, early work
Friday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run + Core
Saturday: Walk 4 miles, Rest Day
Sunday: Walk 4 miles, TBD
It was a gorgeous week of fall weather here. Sure there were some cold, frosty days and our share of high winds, but it warmed as we approached the weekend and we enjoyed a glorious 78 degrees on Saturday.
The colors have been spectacular this year. I won’t lie though, I was super tired this week after 18-hr work days in Amelia Island. As much as I didn’t want to rest on Saturday, that’s exactly what I did. It was much needed. The last thing I want to do is be run down and get sick.
The last home football game of the season took place on Friday night. It was a mild, clear night, perfect for a 48-8 win. Thing 2 was looking forward to the end of the marching band season but now with the football team heading to the playoffs, that season has been extended.

You are so consistent with your walks.
Can’t wait to hear the details of Amelia island.
My week was busy. NYC, home, Rochester, home and a 5k.
I’m pooped. But yes I may drag myself somehow to enjoy the colors. They don’t last long.

I’m anxious to hear about Amelia Island! Isn’t it funny how much we pack into a week away? We need a vacation after to recover. I’m exhausted as well!

October has flown by! The fall colors have been great and I’m trying to soak up as much as I can.
Looking forward to hearing more about your Amelia Island adventures! Always smart to take those rest days when you need them.

I was just thinking about the next Runfessions link-up and how quickly it’s arriving. Why is time going so fast? October is whizzing by faster than September, even with the one extra day. Amelia Island sounds like a busy blast of fun…eager to hear more about it 😉

Taking rest days are almost always a good idea. Glad you had so much fun at Amelia Island!
We had warmer weather . . . 70. Oh well. I do love the cooler mornings for running — and not having to get out so early to run, too.

Oh wow, those are long work days at ZOOMA Amelia Island. It sounds like you needed yesterday as a rest day!
We’re enjoy a pretty fall as well. This year we got to experience two peak weeks, one in New England and now here in Virginia.

Those trees are gorgeous!
I have no doubt Zooma was exhausting. Glad you are just tired and not sick!

Good luck to the football team at the playoffs! Our team only lost one game, but not sure how they will compare to the teams outside of our league. I know my son is also happy, yet sad, when marching band season ends. Glad they are able to have pep band for the indoor sports in the winter again!
Beautiful picture of the tree and the lake. Such a warm glow!!

The Fall colors are so pretty! Glad you had a blast at Amelia Island. Traveling can always be so exhausting, but glad that you are just a little tired and not sick. There’s so many different illnesses floating around now 🙁

We’re getting some pretty colours here, but our temps are a lot cooler, in the 50s now (I had the exact same temp as Cari in New York yesterday!).

Those fall colours!! I’m not sure, but the autumn photos from the US and Canada have never been so stunning as this year. Fabulous!
I’m curious to learn more about the Amelia Island trip. I am looking forward to the post!

Yay for all those beautiful colors!
We still have two more home games, and our competition season goes through 11/20. Yikes.
I hope you were able to get some rest after your big weekend!
