Christmas 2021 is here and gone in a flash. Unbelievable, right? It was a busy week, but the workouts got done.
Monday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run 5 miles, Upper Body Strength
Tuesday: Walk 4 miles, Trail run 4 miles, Full-Body Strength
Wednesday: Walk 4 miles, otherwise rest
Thursday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run 4 miles, 12 days of Fitmas
Friday: Walk 4 miles, 30 min Holiday Party Pilates
Saturday: Walk 4 miles, Trail Run 5 miles, Lower Body Strength
Sunday: Walk 4 miles, TBD
The weather this week continued to be mild and snow free. Not exactly Christmas-like but I’ll take it. It’s like we skipped a whole month of winter weather! Similar to Thanksgiving, Christmas festivities were kept small, but we still had fun, family time. It was so nice to have a day off, since some of my work clients are retail businesses and the ZOOMA Holiday Challenge ended on Christmas Day.
I started Christmas Day with a wonderful trail run, what else? While I ran alone, I felt the kindred spirits of my blogging friends!
Thank you Kim for this fantastic collage!
We did a little baking, nowhere near the volume of seasons past, but Thing 1 wanted to decorate these so I rolled out the dough for her.
She also crafted a fine charcuterie platter that was enjoyed by all.
I came across this old Christmas pic and it reminded me of Jenn’s “throwback” pic of her with her Christmas tree. This is me, all of 25 years old, with my first dog that was my very own.

Awww, I love that flashback photo! In spite of the warm weather, it was a nice holiday season! Being with family is just the best. Hopefully, now that the holidays are in our rear view mirror, you and I can find time for lunch!

It seems like warmer air was everywhere this month. Hope that does not mean January and February will be crazy! So glad you had the whole family home for the holidays. I miss my kiddos already! Have a great week!

Wow, look at that platter! It’s been fairly warm here and not as rainy as I’d feared when I went to parkrun yesterday morning – and it was lovely thinking of all of us running at the same time (well, sort of – I will have overlapped with Renee at least!).

Merry Christmas! It does seem to have come and gone in a flash. Those cookies look great. Love your throwback photo. I am so glad I no long put tinsel on our tree!
Looking forward to runfessions!

I agree! The best time for a run is on a public holiday. Everyone one else is busy so you have the trails to yourself. And as an extra bonus, you get some me-time outdoors.
I love your throwback photo! I should rummage around and post one too sometime.

Gotta say, Marcia, your walking game is strong! I’m hoping to revive my daily walking (in a few days) because I really miss it. I’m glad you had a nice holiday with your family 😉

Love that throwback photo 🙂 Merry Christmas Marcia!

Love old pics. You haven’t aged much lol
Nice to hear that you enjoyed your holiday with family.
Keep sharing those trail pics – they are lovely. I need to get back to my walking… and hiking.

We waited until I was in my 40s to have dogs (outside of when we were kids) because . . . cats. Nice photo of you!
That charcuterie board — yum! I might do something post New Yeas, since I plan to be at my mom’s during New Years. Although we did do an appetizer type dinner last night — it was good! The joys of being Jewish. 🙂

The runs on a public holiday are the best: no traffic, plenty of time and different atmosphere.
Before getting married I had a dog but unfortunately when I joined the Navy he went to live with another human. I feel regret again.
Your photo with the dog is too beautiful!

Your daughter put together an awesome looking charcuterie platter – yum! We don’t do those often in my house, but I’m probably going to do one for New Years Eve since we don’t typically eat a dinner that night – it’s more just a bunch of snaking.
I love that flashback photo of you!

We had a warm Christmas, alright! I think it got up to 81- that was a little too warm.
Love the throwback pic! And sounds like you had a great week of workouts even with the holiday. I don’t know how everyone is getting in these Christmas morning runs- my kids are always up so early, demanding to open presents. They would kill me if I were out on a trail run!

Love the flashback photo Marcia! What a cute pup too. Your cookies look amazing. I wish I would have made some this year!
Snow-free is pretty nice for running 🙂 We’re getting more snow tonight, which I really hope doesn’t leave the trails too slippery…

Merry Christmas! The cookies and charcuterie platter look so festive and tasty! I’m hoping next month doesn’t hold some crazy cold weather in store for us since this month has been so warm. I’d be happy to just skip over winter weather, though and go right into spring!

Love the top leggings photo and the throwback!
>but Thing 1 wanted to decorate these so I rolled out the dough for her.
Just saying, you’ll be doing this another twenty years. Mom knows she can’t make sugar cookies until I’m home and Christmas isn’t complete without sugar cookies
Jenn says
That is a fabulous throwback! I love chows – look at its blue tongue!
I love the river of cheese on that charcuterie board. It’s perfect.
Great workouts for you! Happy holidays and happy new year!
