It’s time once again to sit down with Deborah, Coco and you to catch up over a cup of something warm and comforting. I’m going with some Starbucks holiday blend with Now Collagen and a splash of half & half. What’ll you have?
Over coffee I’d tell you we are headed to Marietta Georgia today for a holiday party over the weekend. Of course we’ll swing by Georgia Tech and pay a visit to our favorite college student. I can’t even remember the last time I was on campus…..last spring maybe when we moved her out and put her stuff in storage?
Over coffee I’d ask if you scored any Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals. It seems like everybody had their deals out there weeks ahead of Thanksgiving weekend.
Over coffee I’d tell you my time with the Peloton app has been well spent. I’ve got a 5+ week streak going. What I’ve done the most of, believe it or not, is meditation. I do the guided meditations in our infra-red sauna and it is SO relaxing, and such a nice break from the chaos of the holiday season.
Over coffee I’d ask you if you have any races planned for 2022. I’d tell you that I’m training a bunch of athletes for Boston and I’m working on their plans now. Training starts right after Christmas!
What would you tell me over coffee?
I’m also linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!

I’ve got early registration for next years’ IAT race–I had to defer due to my injury. The dilemma is do I stick with the half or go for the 50k?
Have so much fun this weekend!
Darlene says
Meditating in a sauna. I could get into that.
Enjoy your Atlanta visit.
2022? You know me. I have four half marathons registered for already. One in Jan, two in feb and one in oct. yikes.
Coco says
Atlanta is a long way to go for a party! 🙂 I guess it’s too soon to bring your daughter home with you?
Interesting on the Peloton meditations. They are really not my thing. I tried listening to one on a walk, but found my mind wandering even more than usual.
Deborah Brooks says
I admittedly have not done much with the meditation classes. I did the sleep ones for a few weeks and then never went back. What I have done most is stretching classes. I am doing them before and after every run and sometimes at night. Have a great trip to Atlanta!

At the moment only 2 races planned, both in Rome (10 km), but not in the touristic part, in february 2022.
Have a good trip and enjoy the visit to Atlanta.

I enjoy the Peloton meditations, especially the sleep meditations. I very rarely make it to the end of one, lol

Wow, GA for a party! That’s quite the trip. Obviously having Thing 1 there sweetens the pot. 😊
I definitely availed myself of some of the early Black Friday deals.
Kimberly Hatting says
I’m enjoying my Peloton party, too. I’ve been cranking out the cycling classes, and have done a few strength sessions recently. I want to dip into more of the yoga classes next. Enjoy your trip to Atlanta!

Meditation in the sauna sounds ideal! I sometimes use the Peloton sleep meditations, and as Kim said, I rarely make it to the end of one.
Have so much fun this weekend – great to have a little extra time with your daughter!
Jenny says
Hmmm! I’ve been curious about those Peloton meditations. I never seem to have the time though, which probably proves that I really need it.
Have a great weekend! Sounds really fun.
Denise says
Meditation in a sauna sounds wonderful.
Enjoy your time with your daughter.

I have the new NYC Runs Brooklyn Half, and that’s (officially) it since Penguin cancelled.I’ll likely do one of the February races, but awaiting some other plans. Such a nice problem to have again
Meditation int he sauna sounds like fun!
Zenaida Arroyo says
Looks like a fun weekend in GA! Somehow I missed that you are now a Peloton user. How are you liking it? I’ve done the sleep meditations and have fallen asleep. I guess that is the point?
Shathiso says
I’ve been having trouble sleeping the last few weeks. Camomile tea has really helped lately but I think meditation would really be good for me too! Only one race planned for 2022 which was an entry deferred from 2020 – but hoping more and more races open up as I really want to get out there again!
Janelle @ Run With No Regrets says
I hope you had a nice time in Georgia! There were a few Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals I was able to take advantage of, but somehow there didn’t seem to be as many good ones this year, at least not that I noticed!
I’m planning to take it very easy in 2022, focus on shorter distances so that I have more time to spend with family!
