Well friends, 2021 is just about a wrap, but it just wouldn’t be right to ring in the new year until we open the Runfessional one last time. Let’s do that right now.
Now that winter weather is showing up here and there, I’ve had to dig deep for my winter running gear. I runfess I cannot always find what I need and I don’t always remember what I have.
I could’ve sworn I had more pom beanies. Maybe I do….somewhere. Then again I’d completely forgotten I had this hat from the Indy Monumental Marathon. I runfess it’s never been worn. Sigh. I can’t even remember what year I ran that marathon. Sheesh.
I got a new phone a couple of months ago. While of course I love the phone, it was a royal PIA to remember all my passwords and put them all in. I runfess I still have not reconnected my Garmin app, so I basically never look at my stats. It’s probably better that way.
Year end is time to reflect. I’m proud of the fact that I’ve stuck with my YouTube project for over a year now, but I runfess there are some videos that are better suited to a blooper reel. Especially the one where Ozzy insisted on joining me and ended up photobombing me with a butt scoot. Thanks pal!
We all get those obnoxious DMs on Insta from men purportedly looking for sugar babies or to make me rich (or rip me off, who really knows?) with crypto currency I runfess this particular DM made me spit my coffee. Yep, I’m a fineapple.

I was telling my family about these sugar daddy messages and my youngest told me he gets sugar mama requests…well, that made me stop in my tracks!!!
HA! A fineapple 😉 I’d forgotten about Ozzy’s moment of fame. I shot a planking video (a few years ago) and Max had to cross through the frame not once, but twice. It’s a great thing they’re so cute, right?

Because we have limited space in our apartment, I store my new running shoes in the cellar. This means that I forget how many shoes I really have. Every time I go down there it’s like “oh, I didn’t remember I had these….”
I actually had plans to do a blooper reel this year! I saved clips — or so I thought — apparently I managed to save them in an unusable format. I was sad — there was some good stuff in there. Yelling at Bandit to stop eating something (very un-Yogi), maybe a bit of swearing at being interrupted when I was almost finished (it was a particularly bad day). Oh well, maybe next year.
I mostly know what I have — where it is can often remain a mystery, because of course I have too much stuff! Also very un-Yogic.

Hee hee. Fineapple… that’s a classic.
I’m especially bad with winter gear because it rarely gets cold enough here. On those rare days where it might dip down to the upper 40s at night and I need my hat and gloves, most times I’ll realize that I wore them on a run last year and abandoned them halfway through in the bushes and forgot to ever go back for them. This year I was proactive and bought hat and gloves in the dollar section at Target- I know exactly where they are and am eagerly waiting to pull them out- but we’ve had a really warm December, in the 80s most days. Figures.
I also don’t always remember what I have and I am always in hurry when I have to start my workout because I am lazy and slow. Getting always older……..

Oh, Charles! He is too funny!! My Winter gear is in my closet and easy for me to get. I am not liking this weather. I’d rather it be cold than have snow. Which phone did you get? I got the iPhone on Thursday and so far I like it.
