It’s just about that time! You know, the most wonderful time of the year. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about getting your holiday shopping done. I’m sharing some of my favorite things for runners and fitness enthusiasts.

Sustainable Clothing
GoLite Sportswear. Runners love gear and GoLite makes some of the best. It’s no secret how I feel about plastic water bottles and all the pollution in the oceans endangering marine life. GoLite makes sportswear FROM plastic water bottle fibers. Isn’t that the coolest? I tested the ReBound Leggings and the ReScooba Jacket. Both are great quality, fun designs, super comfy and even reflective. The leggings even have awesome large side pockets that are perfect for fuel or phone. Right now, you’ll get a GoLite top FREE when you buy a bottom. Check out the entire GoLite line here and save 15% with MARCIAGOLITE.
Crossrope. Since finishing the Tokyo Marathon and the London Marathon earlier this year, my focus shifted to trail running, strength training and Tabata workouts. A couple of months ago I added jump rope Tabatas to my routine with Crossrope. I runfess I hadn’t jumped rope consistently since I was a teenager but wow! It’s a great workout. I also can’t say enough good about Crossrope. The set I have includes two ropes (1/4lb and 1/2lb) and a set of interchangeable handles. The Crossrope app has all kinds of jump rope workouts, whether you’re a beginner like I was, or more advanced. There are challenges that include more jump rope workouts than I ever knew existed, including ladders, Tabatas, and circuits. What’s super nice is the app counts down your jump time, so you know exactly how much time you have left, when to switch exercises, rest, etc. The ropes are super high quality and I was able to get a length appropriate to my height, so jumping in the pain cave is really fun not to mention challenging. Find the 2-rope Crossrope set that I have here.
Comfort and Joy
Prana Copper Dry Brush. Dry brushing is new to me. It was kind of intimidating at first because the thought of copper bristles on my skin was a little intimidating, but you know me, I’m always up for an adventure. Ionic body brushing originated in ancient Ayurvedic practices. Dry brushing is said to detoxify the body, exfoliate the skin, improve circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system, among other health benefits. Before showering, I got into the routine of lightly brushing my skin, always toward my heart with the Prana Brush. Let’s just say some body parts are more sensitive than others, but it is not painful at all. Each brush features extra-fine, ion-charged copper bristles, surrounded by an outer ring of natural, ethically-sourced boar hair. After a week or so of using the Prana Brush consistently, I noticed rosier skintone and much softer, silkier skin. Use Marcia15 to save 15% off all orders from November 19 – December 2, 2019.
Balega Grit & Grace Socks. Not only does Balega make my favorite socks, they’re wonderful about giving back to the community. $1 from each pair of socks from their Grit & Grace series goes to Breast Cancer prevention research. The socks come in fun colors with inspiring sayings on each pair. Choose from Graceful Warrior, Kindness Wins or You Are Enough. Find Grit & Grace series socks here.
Spandits Boardies are pretty much the only shorts I run in.
Spandits. I’ve been a Spandits Ambassador for years because I can’t get enough of their fun, always changing patterns. Spandits do not slip down or chafe, and I love that they’re made in Maine by a woman-owned company. Save $10 with SPANDITSLOVE.
FRÉ Skincare. You’ve heard me say it before. This is my all-time favorite skincare. It’s all natural, designed to leave sweaty, post-workout skin clean without drying it out and it smells amazing! If you try one thing, get the Purify Me face cleanser. After cleansing, the Revive Me replenishing serum feels oh so smooth and silky on my face. The new Brighten Me eye cream is a miracle worker for dark circles and under-eye puffiness. Trust me when I say every. single. product. in the line is a winner. Be sure to take advantage of their 50% off Black Friday deal on 11/29 ONLY! This is their biggest discount ever. Use code RUNDEF to save! Shipping is free!
Stocking Stuffers
Caterpy No-Tie Shoelaces. I swear once you try these, you’ll never wanna go back to tying your running shoes ever again. Plus why risk the possibility of having your shoes come untied during a race? Caterpy laces are a fun solution. They’re super easy to install, just like ordinary shoelaces. No hardware or snipping necessary and they can be removed and reused.
Paincakes. No runner ever wants to be injured but let’s face it, there are times we push it a little (or a lot) too far, resulting in strains, sprains and other discomforts that call for ice. Paincakes are a convenient way to get some cooling recovery that stays in place. A medical-grade, non-toxic nanogel allows this cold pack to stick to your skin without irritation or pulling. I love that they’re totally reusable too.
Now Essential Oil Roll-Ons. I probably don’t have to remind you of my love for essential oils. I’ve got my diffuser going on the daily. Until now though my essential oil habit was an at-home thing, but with Now’s NEW Essential Oil Roll-Ons, I can throw one in my purse and take it anywhere. The roll-ons are diluted so they’re perfect for topical use. After hours staring at the computer a quick neck massage with the Tea Tee or Eucalyptus roll-on is so soothing. I also use them to soothe the super dry winter skin on my knuckles/top of my hands. Save $10 off your $40 Now purchase with MARCIANOW10.
Geode State Ornaments. Got a friend (or yourself) who’s gunning to run in all 50 states? Add one (or more) of these rustic state ornaments from Uncommon Goods to your tree.

So many great ideas!! I think my favourite one is the Crossrope. Like you, I haven’t jumped for years and I would like to try it again. I especially like the fact that it counts for you! 😊👍🏻

Oh hey, it’s me 🙂 I love seeing us on your blog!!
The biggest problem with Colorado is it’s a rectangle. When you buy these super cute decorative state thingies, no one ever knows it’s Colorado!

You highlight some great products there. Unfortunately GoLite is mega-expensive here – around £100 for the leggings. Which is a shame, although I have sufficient running gear at the moment (what??? I know!) and I do try to wear it till it wears out then donate as rags to charity.

I could have used the pain cakes over the weekend, lol! As always, you have such awesome gift choices. I’m working on my list as we speak!
Judy @ Chocolaterunsjudy says
I got a sample of pain cakes a long time ago, but luckily, never really had the need to use them. Sustainable clothing is awesome.
I have been dry brushing for a long time — not every day, but a few times a week. That brush looks interesting, though, and my brush is quite old!
There are always so many things I want, but next week I’ll be on the hunt for a new Vitamix. Mine is really, really old, because yes, they last a really long time. It still works, but just not as well.

Great ideas though I am not really into gifts for the holidays…I need to de-clutter not add them
and I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to running..just the basics. I prefer to spend the $$ on races (as you can tell.)

You just put some amazing new products on my radar – thanks so much! Each year I find it harder and harder to find unique gifts for my friends and family.

Caterpy were at the NYC expo and I’m going to get a pair or three. Besides not wanting to mess up the cute laces for my NYC Marathon New Balances, they’re too short and I had to stop 3x Saturday to retie the left one.
Jump rope and hula hoop are the underrated exercises from our childhood

I am intrigued by dry brushing but have not tried it yet. Looks like I am going to need some new cute Balegas-they are my fave. Great list!

So many neat items to choose from! I’m most intrigued with the jump ropes. I had no idea there were so many different ways to workout with a weighted rope. Great add to my HIIT workouts!

You have some great gift ideas. I’ve never heard of dry brushing but now I’ll have to research it. I’m running low on my Fre’ products so will probably be doing some Black Friday shopping. 😉 Thanks Marcia!

These are great picks! :] GoLite sounds like an awesome company!

What a fun list! I started dry-brushing a little over a year ago. My brush uses cactus needles. I use it especially on my legs (though not as consistently as I’d like to). It’s amazing how smooth and soft it makes my skin! I’m going to have to try those non-tie shoe laces!
Michelle @ Running with Attitude says
Great list! You’ve definitely given me some new items to check out…and I have to take advantage of the upcoming Fre Skincare sale!! Thanks for sharing 😉

These are awesome gift ideas! My favorites are the crossrope and the Balega socks. I’ve been wearing them again and simply love them.
Thank you for linking up with us!

These are all great ideas! I don’t know much about dry brushing but it sounds interesting. And those laces look really great! I’ve been having some issues with a pair of laces lately so I may need to try those out.

I love the idea of Essential Oil Roll-ons. And I am in love with my GoLite Activewear! Such a great company!
