I spoke here before about how crazy things get around the time the school year winds up for summer break. I get so overwhelmed I coined the term MAYhem to describe the chaos the month of May brings to this household. It was during MAYhem that I raised my hand when I had the opportunity to try out a variety of products from PlusCBD Oil.
What is CBD Oil?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is a phytocannabinoid (plant-derived cannabinoid) derived from agricultural hemp. The effects of CBD Oil are unique to each individual, but overall it is known to communicate with all organs in the body to help balance the physiology in a variety of ways.
Is it safe? Of course this was my main concern as I researched this product before testing it. PlusCBD Oil contains no hallucinogenics and will not produce feelings of euphoria, therefore it is both legal and safe. PlusCBD Oil goes through a rigorous testing process to ensure quality, safety and potency.
I received this product free of charge from Moms Meet in exchange for an honest review.
Compensation was provided.
PlusCBD Oil is comprised of cannabinoids, naturally occurring Vitamin E and fatty acids. It is non-psychotoxic therefore it does not induce feelings of euphoria. It comes in a variety of forms, from capsules and soft gels, to drops, spray and even balm.
My experience with PlusCBD Oil
I started with the balm, which I used to massage into my feet and hands on a daily basis.
It has a silky texture, absorbs quickly and is refreshingly minty. Other than the soothing nature of the balm and peppermint aroma, I did not notice any other effects.
PlusCBD drops were super easy to use. I simply put them in a smoothie or drink. Each serving delivers 3mg of CBD.
PlusCBD Extra Strength Spray delivers 3mg of CBD in a single minty spritz. I have not yet tried it.
The next form of PlusCBD Oil I tried were the capsules followed by the soft gels. These were the most potent products in the assortment. Each delivers 15mg of CBD.
While I did not feel particularly “different” while I was taking PlusCBD Oil, overall I did notice that I was in a generally lighter, calmer, more positive mood. This may not be significant since I typically do not struggle with depression or low mood, but I did not feel overwhelmed at a time of year that is extremely chaotic, so there’s that.
The area where I noticed the most impact was my sleep. A couple months ago I would have told you that, except for putting Carlo the 18 year old wonder dog out during the wee hours every night, I was a sound sleeper for 7 or so hours per night. When I started wearing my Garmin Fenix5S to bed, I learned that was not actually the case.
Usually I was only sleeping deeply for 20-40 minutes per night. The rest of the time I was sleeping lightly or awake.
When I started taking PlusCBD Oil, the quality of my sleep increased dramatically.
My deep sleep increased to an average of 2-3 and as much as 4 hours per night. I recall having frequent, vivid dreams. I have even found it difficult to wake on my own at 5am like I previously had before taking PlusCBD Oil.

Interesting! I wonder about this for my joint pain. Altho my rheum has offered medical MJ to me, so I’d get the real thing…

I’ve never tried any of these but thanks for all the info and for breaking it down for me. Wonder how well I actually sleep?

My sports chiro recommends it but I’ve never tried it before… so interesting to hear your results!

CBD Oil is all the rage these days, but i hadn’t heard much about ingestibles — mostly rubs for pain.
That’s also interesting about the sleep. I actually sleep pretty good during the summer, but winter is just horrible. Which reminds me I’ve totally forgotten to take my Vit D in a while . . .

Interesting product! My sleep would be the area I’d wonder most about…I don’t feel fatigued, but I know I probably need more than my usual 4-5ish hours of sleep. I’d be curious how much of that is even deep sleep….

unfortunately CBD oil doesn’t help with anything EXCEPT I notice muscle recovery is much faster when I use it consistently. I took it 3 x a day for 3 weeks leading up to Liverpool, ran the 5K, ran the Half, biked another Half marathon +, walked everywhere and NEVER had any stiffness or soreness.
it does not help me sleep and it does not help my foot . I do have neuropathic oil (with frankincense and myrrh) and that DOES help my foot temporarily if I massage it in well.
Funny that a country like the Netherlands, where I can get CBD oil all over the place has no cremes available for massaging into my foot. I’ve been so desperate at times I’ve considered going into a “coffee shop” to get the real stuff to just knock me out (but I ABHOR smoking).

I LOVE the sleep tracker on my garmin too! Since starting to wear my apple, I actually have missed the sleep tracking ( I’m sure the apple watch has it too just haven’t figured that out yet. ) lol. That oil sounds very interesting and for you to have such a dramatic difference in your sleep is amazing! And, BOY – my june has flown by, much like your MAY – it’s almost 4th of JULY! Holy COW!

I can’t say I’ve ever tracked my sleep. I feel like if I knew how good/bad I was sleeping it would just make me sleep less thinking about it haha.

Interesting. My massage therapist has started using CBD oil during some of the more deep (read painful) tissue work – I have noticed it has helped with muscle recovery.
