Here we are in mid-February and all thoughts turn away from the mountains of snow on the ground and focus on LOVE. It makes the world go round after all. We can never have too much of it. Our Tuesdays on the Run topic is all about love. What do you love about running? What/who do you love to run with? What running gear makes your heart skip a beat?

In case you want to get the runner(s) in your life (or yourself) a special something, here are 5 ideas that will make their hearts swell with delight.
Fun socks that are also functional. If yesterday’s blog or Instagram post was any indication, you know I love my Balega socks almost as much as life itself. A fun pink or red pair (or 6) would be an awesome Valentine’s Day treat.
For compression socks, Legend is my go-to brand because I like mine to fit “right not tight”
Fuel. Who said running fuel can’t be fun and festive? If Chocolate Cherry Clif Shots don’t say I heart you, Honey Stinger Chews in Pomegranate Passionfruit certainly do.
Fashion. Spandits tights, boardies, skirts and accessories are a runner’s BFF. Right now Tumbledown hats are 25% off. Plus you’ll get a FREE Tumbledown hat with every pair of Icelandic tights. Save 10% more with SPANDITSLOVE. Tell them Marcia sent you.
Fragrance. Runners need to relax and unwind just as much (maybe more) than the next person. That’s why the Love at First Scent Essential Oils Set from Now Foods is perfect. The set contains 4 bottles of essential oil favorites: Bergamot, Cinnamon Cassia, Rose Absolut and Naturally Loveable.
Race! What running Valentine wouldn’t swoon over a race entry? On February 14 only, save 14% on all Zooma races with code LOVETORUN. Or choose a RocknRoll Race (or buy a tourpass). RNRRNB2018 saves you $15 off all domestic half and full marathons (excluding Vegas) as well as RnR Montreal.
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? What do you love most about running?

All of these are great ideas! Those essential oils sound so relaxing. And I’d be interested to try to honey stinger chews, I just don’t know how I would do with eating them while I am actually running.

I don’t have enough proper running socks, so that’s what I would really want for Valentine’s! What do I love about running? I love that running gives me balance – I felt I was always torn in so many different directions before; but running is the one thing that seemed to balance things out.

Good running socks are underrated! I think th at when I’m back and seriously running again ill need to invest in some pairs.

I really need a pedicure and I’m hoping my valentine gifts me with that…hah!

All great gift ideas! I love that anyone can run, and run at their own pace. My husband always cooks an amazing meal for Valentine’s Day–usually big steaks. But we’ll observe Ash Wednesday tomorrow, so fish is on the menu! I grilled the big ribeyes (in the frozen Tundra) last night. Lunch today with my aunt, mom, and some cousins for the obligatory Polish fare and paczki, then our Fat Tuesday dinner tonight will be jambalaya. Like I said…I don’t know why I can’t lose these extra 10 pounds!

Great suggestions!! My husband knows to never buy me flowers or jewelry for Valentine’s Day. I want functional running things instead! 😉

I love the way running always (at least 99% of the time) makes me feel better. Except at the moment.
Valentines happens to be my birthday. So I have a massage lined up and a visit to the Salt Den (free!), plus dinner out (there’s been some grumbling about that but too bad).I wish I could say it’ll be a totally relaxing day, but juggling being out for that amount of time & not having accidents (dogs, not me) can be a little stressful. But it’ll be worth it.
And I need those Balega socks with hearts! Is it not out yet or just an ambassador thing? Probably just as well. I don’t really need them, but I do love Balega & hearts are my thing for obvious reasons.

I can never have too many running socks. I got 2 more pairs after New Year’s, and I’m sure I’ll get more at some point this year. They’re simple, but such a running staple.

You’re so right, there are so many things that you can gift to make a runner happy (I didn’t know that I’d have so many running related things on my wish list until I picked up running :))
Clarinda says
I would definitely love all of these things! What I love most about running is how unique it is to each runner – and how passionate even the cause runner often is. 🙂

I have not seen that pomegranate passion fruit of which you speak….sounds yummy!

I was a Balega ambassador last year but we did not get those cute heart socks! Love them. Happy Valentine’s day

Any runner would LOVE (pun intended) any of these items! I still need to try essential oils.

Ooh, I might have to use that code … I’m debating the Philly Rnr race. I love HoneyStinger too!

I do Balega, they are so comfy! I love hearts in general, I put them everywhere LOL and I love them on clothing 🙂
I had my favorite treat dark chocolate strawberries. It doesn’t take much to make me happy lol

Honey Stingers are good! Those essential oils look pretty cool. Still would like to get them and a diffuser for my classroom.
