Summer’s on the downswing, kids are back in school here and it’s been awhile since I shared what I’m loving and not loving, so let’s get to it, shall we?
Not Loving that it’s still hot as balls. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for summer. But this 96% humidity jazz makes marathon training no bueno.
Loving: There’s plenty of time for another batch or three of these. Who doesn’t like to pimp out their cold brew with a few designer ice cubes? What? You use ordinary ice? Well you need to try these. I used some of my favorite organic ingredients from NOW Foods to add some pizzazz. These coconut/mocha ice cubes are a tasty addition when you blend them up in smoothies too. Not a coconut fan? Sub in the milk of your choice.

Loving that Thing 2 will be joining her school band and learning to play the flute.
Not Loving that I have until next Thursday to get her a flute and still have not done a thing.
Loving the Olympics. Everything about it…well except one thing, ok 3 things. See below.
Not loving that the Olympics are making me stay up waaay too late.
Not loving that I missed the opening ceremony because we were flying to Ireland.
Not loving the Olympic coverage in Ireland pretty much ignored the Americans, still it was really fun to watch from a non-American perspective.
Loving this inflatable swan drink holder, not to mention a whole bunch of other fun things I got in the July #MustHaveBox sent to me to try by PopSugar. Use SHOP5 to save $5 off your first box.
Not loving that I don’t have a pool to use it in.
Not loving the fading daylight here.
Loving that it stayed light until almost 10pm in Ireland.
What are you loving lately? Not so much? Iced coffee fan? Fave summer drink? Final days for my giveaway!

Definitely not loving the shorter days, but loving that it’s shadier in the mornings!
Loving that I tape the Olympics & watch it a day late. That way I don’t have to stay up late at all. Also loving that it cuts viewing time in half, because not loving all the commercials!
Wendy@Taking the Long Way Home says
I loved having lunch with you yesterday! It was a great way to pick up my mood.
Not loving the exploding feather pillow–what a mess. It was contained to the washer but getting those feathers out? Ugh.
Susie @ Suzlyfe says
YOU ARE SO SMART. Those ice cubes are #genius. Loving: that I kind of got my shit together this week Not Loving: that I lost it in the first place.

How cool is that swain? If I had a pool I’d have to have this!
I’m not loving the shorter days either! Why oh why does this have to happen! I like my schedule just leave it alone!
Meranda @fairytales and fitness says
I for one am loving the weather even though it’s kicking my but on my runs. I’m not loving that I haven’t been able to increase my mileage as much as I would have liked by this time already!
I also love that you got to see the Olympics from an Ireland point of view!
Lisa @ Running Out Of Wine says
I haven’t been staying up late to watch the Olympics, but I feel like I miss so much when I go to sleep at 9:00. I just can’t stay up much later than that! It sounds interesting to watch the Olympics from Ireland! I am starting to get sad that the sun is rising later in the mornings. I feel like I have missed the whole summer of running (although not complaining about missing out on the heat!)
Mary @ Fit and Fed says
Kids back in school already? Wow! I love the coconut and mocha ice cubes!
Karen @ Fit in France says
I am not loving the shorter days. It was still dark when I got up at 6:30 a.m. Loving that it is cooler .. makes running more enjoyable.
Our kids don’t go back to school until Sept. 1st !
Becky @ Ok, So Here's the Plan says
I’m not loving the Gold Bond version of Body Glide. For the record, it doesn’t last as long as Body Glide. First blister of the year today and it was a doozie 🙁
I’m loving the ever so slightly cooler weather – it’s been brutal this summer!
