We’ve had a gorgeous summer here so far. Alas it slips away all too quickly. Sometimes there’s so much we want to do/go/see with family and friends, we don’t take the time to truly relax and care for ourselves. Here are some small, simple things that add up to a more pleasant, less stressed season.
Hydrate. So simple yet many of us (me!) come up short too often. Now that it’s summer add some fun seasonal fruit or herbs to your water.
Get up early. Workout, meditate, set intentions for the day. Starting the day with “you” time sets the tone for a more enjoyable and productive day.
Radiate positivity. Sometimes it’s hard not to let negative thoughts sneak into our mind. Make an effort to notice when this happens and counter those self-defeating thoughts with constructive, positive ones. Seeing the bright side is a habit. Like anything else, we get better at it the more we practice it. What the mind believes the body achieves.
Get Outside. Being outdoors connecting with nature is an instant stress reliever. Something as simple as a short walk can be a total game changer.
Nourish yourself with simple, whole foods. This is where Amazing Grass comes in. Each scoop or packet of this organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, all-in-one protein superfood provides:
- 20 grams of plant-based protein from peas, quinoa, chia and hemp
- 7 alkalizing greens
- 2 full servings of fruits and veggies
Amazing Grass Protein Superfood is grain free and Paleo friendly. It’s no secret that the Caveman and our kiddos are not the biggest veggie fans ever. But they love Amazing Grass. It’s such a simple, tasty way to take in clean, plant-based protein. I’ve been throwing a packet in my gym bag and mixing it with water as soon as I finish my workout. You know I had to fancy it up and use it in a smoothie recipe didn’t you? You know me too well. I love making this smoothie right after a tough, sweaty run.
I used the Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Superfood then added a few more of my favorite ingredients. This was so tasty, I can’t even tell you. You need to make it for yourself.
