T’is the season once again to think about those beloved runners in your life. Maybe you’re looking to give the perfect gift, or how about treating yourself to something special too? Either way it’s all good. This week’s Tuesdays on the Run topic is Gifts for Runners. I’m going to tell you right now you want to pay attention and stick around because I’ll be giving away many of these products before the year is out and trust me you definitely want to pay me a visit on Black Friday. With that out of the way, let’s get started with some ideas:
Subscription Box. Sky’s the limit on the kinds of boxes that are out there. Basically it’s a gift that keeps on giving. The wellness box from GlobeIn features unique products from around the world that support remote artisans and farmers. Use code HEALTHYSLICE to save 25% off your first box when you subscribe for 3 months or more.
Journal Menu Training Log. There are all kinds of ways to track workouts. Call me old school, but nothing speaks to me like good old ink on paper. Journal Menu training logs can be customized inside and out just the way you like whether you’re a runner, triathlete, yogi, Crossfitter or something else. See my full review here. Use code HEALTHYSLICE to save 15% off your order!
Spibelt. Face it us runners need to stash a lot of stuff when we run. From phones to fuel to keys to lip balm you name it, we carry it on us. The challenge is to find a way to tote everything we need without it falling out, bouncing or otherwise driving us nuts. My favorite solution is Spibelt. Be sure to check out the Spibelt website for Black Friday deals!
Yuni Beauty. Inspired by the centering nature of yoga, Yuni Beauty was launched just this year and has fast become a favorite of mine. The line includes skin care, body care, hair care and aroma products. Yuni uses top-quality organic and fair-trade plant-based ingredients and natural essential oils and every one of their products smells ah-mazing! The body cleansing creme and conditioner are two of my favorite post-run treats.
Runners World Meals on the Run Cookbook. What runner doesn’t love to eat? Sometimes though we get hung up on what to eat when. That’s where this cookbook comes in. It breaks recipes down by categories of what to eat for pre-run nutrition, during run fuel and post-run recovery. You’ll find tons of recipes including vegan, vegetarian, low-calorie and gluten free as well as a section on hydration. A great addition to any runner’s kitchen. Find it on Amazon.
Viewsport Tank. We runners love our tanks and can never have too many. Not only are these tanks from Viewsport super comfy and lightweight, the fun really starts when you get all sweaty and the secret power words appear. How cool is that?
Spandits. How can you not love workout tights, skirts, shorts and more in crazy fun patterns? Spandits are crafted in the beautiful state of Maine and exciting new patterns are being introduced all the time. Right now orders of $50 or more ship free but hurry: free shipping expires on 11/26/15. SPANDITSLOVE saves you 10%. Tell ’em I sent you!
Training! If you run, chances are good you’re going to race. Racers need to train. And training should be planned. How about this 5-day Adult Running Retreat from Nike?
Or of you prefer something closer to home, the Ultimate Guide to Running features comprehensive training plans for all levels of runners from beginning to advanced as close as your laptop. You’ll also find nutrition info., lectures on running technique, crosstraining, stretching and injury prevention. HEALTHYSLICE saves you 25%.
What are you hoping to find in your stocking this year? What are you giving?

Those tank tops look cute and fun! I will definitely be checking them out. Also – a running retreat? Yes! I went on one this past summer, and it was so great! I learned a ton, had a great time meeting new people, and it was so nice to get away and be out of my comfort zone for a few days. Great ideas!
