I hear this complaint constantly. I don’t have time, can’t find the time, time got away from me, etc. We all know we make time for our priorities, right? Yes we do. But I’d be lying if I said I was never pressed for time. I’m good about making time for my priority, which is marathon training, so, knock wood, my runs get done. But the other stuff? Crosstraining? Strength? Yoga? Truth be told, I am not always as vigilant.
For those times when I need to move on to Plan B, or C, or D, I keep a bunch of pressed-for-time workouts in my arsenal, including this one. Here’s another one I’m especially loving right now:
One run-through = 10 minutes. I can find 10 minutes and so can you. Zip through it 3 times and you’ve got a 30-minute workout under your belt. Not too shabby, right? It requires no equipment (but you can add weights if you want) so do it outside, on a treadmill, whatever. Up the intensity by adding incline to the walk or run.
How do you “make time”? Do you have go-to workouts for when you’re short on time?
I’m linking up with Annmarie, Angelena Marie, Sarah and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday.
This Friday and the last Friday of every month is the Runfession Friday linkup! Share your run- gym- swim- and all other confessions you need to come clean with. I promise you’ll feel better.

I always try to squeeze something in, unless it’s a true rest day. Even a walk from the parking lot to my office–that counts, right? It’s about 10 minutes…

Air Squats hurt in such a good way. You know what I mean? I’ll be giving this one a try (doing it x3) sometime this upcoming week. Thanks for sharing, Marcia.

Looks like a great, quick workout! I try to remember that something is better than nothing, although when I can’t fit in a full workout I am usually tempted to skip it all together. It’s nice to have workouts like this in your back pocket for days when you want to get in something quick!

This looks like a great tight on time workout (which is my style being twin momma!)…thanks for linking up!
I agree you don’t have to take forever in the gym for results…that’s why I am focusing on 30 AMRAP workouts…just enough to sweat and just enough to squeeze in almost any day!
Alexandra @ My Urban Family says
Thanks for the reminder! At the very least, I try to get a walk in during the day to get up and moving. But I really need to add in some more intense workouts as well.
Emily @ Out and About says
So true – everyone can find 10 minutes to do SOMETHING. Even if it’s just some squats or lunges during the commercials while watching TV. A few minutes is definitely better than nothing and these things really do add up!

This was part of the reasoning I used to talk my hubs into starting to workout again. Everyone can make time for the things that matter.
Janelle @ Run With No Regrets says
I always claim that I don’t have time for all the cross training I want to do, but the main thing is you have to make it a priority!

No excuses not to get in a workout with something like this! Love it!! Thanks for linking up ๐
Megan @ Meg Go Run says
It’s funny, I can easily make time for my workouts because they are important to me. I prioritize them because I enjoy them (and the feeling after) so much! However, there are other things I don’t prioritize… cleaning, practicing my ukulele, and reading more often. I could make the time- if I WANTED to. But I just don’t make the time to do it. I feel like these things- at least the ukulele and reading (not cleaning!) are important to me, so why can’t I choose to make the time?

This is a good way for me to get in strength training when I don’t have the mental commitment to go down into the weight room for a full-on workout (which is NEVER at this time in the season when I’m already riding 6-7 days/week). Thanks for sharing!

That is a no excuses 10 minute workout! I think we can all find 10 minutes somewhere, I know it makes a difference!

Nice quick workout! Thanks for sharing!

I must admit that lately no workout has been a priority, but now that my kids are back in school, it’s time to get serious again. I love Suzanne Bowen – I have a membership and she has many 10 and 20 minute workouts that leave you feeling sore. I also have been known to do a quick workout on my own based on what I know.

I just prioritise exercise. It does help that I usually run with friends so it’s my social, fun time as well.

I have always made them a priority even when I worked 60+++ hours a week in Corporate world. ๐ Schedule them in or break them out in small increments over the day.

Looks like a great workout. Truth be told I will find every excuse in the book to not do something even as quick as this :/
