To celebrate National Running Day, I’m giving away a running and fitness gadget that I’m super loving right now: The Wahoo Fitness TICKR X.
I told you about the Wahoo Fitness TICKR X before and how cool it is. It’s a heart rate monitor and so much more. Wear the strap up, around your rib cage and it monitors your heart rate, plus your movement. It knows how far you’re going, measures your stride rate when you run, even your cadence when you cycle. You can even wear it in the pool!
I set my TICKR X so a voice comes on every mile and tells me my stats: duration of exercise, distance, pace, average heart rate, maximum heart rate, stride rate. So I know in real time, exactly how I’m performing.
Another beautiful thing: You don’t have to carry your phone at all if you don’t want to. The monitor will collect your workout data and remember it, to be synced later. This is perfect when I’m in the pool or on the bike and don’t want to be distracted with earbuds.
Use the TICKR X with the 7-Minute Workout app, and you’ve got a quick but intense workout that uses bodyweight only, as close as your smart phone. Fantastic for traveling and whenever you’re short on time.
Personally I like adding on a round or two of the 7-minute workout apres-run or cycle. The TICKR X monitors your body position, counts your reps and measures your heart rate so you can track your progress over time. It even tells you if you’ve set a personal best! There’s an alternative 7-minute workout and a 7-minute Pilates workout available for 99 cents.
Sounds cool, yes? Trust me it is.
Note: I received the Wahoo TICKR X free of charge for review purposes and because I am a Brand Ambassador. All thoughts and opinions, as always, are my own.
I use WaHoo HRM all the time and love them.
That is really cool. I love how it tracks all your other exercises and reps through the movements. Nice tech.
I am just starting to read about heart rate training and hoping to incorporate it into my running!
great giveaway! You did make it sound very appealing when you did the review last month. happy running day
I think I would like the voice at miles – except in the humidity when I am slogging then I might want to punch her 😉 Thanks for linking up!
How cool! So many fun features to play with. Love the HRM of course, but also love the other things it measures for running.
The HR tracker would be nice, and the voice update per mile
How cool that you don’t need your phone with you! That’s a great perk!
Yes it does sound cool, especially the part about not having to carry your phone with you. Nice!
Great review!
Oh yea, I need that. I didn’t know it did more than HR!
I like that the ticket can be used in conjunction with the 7 Minute Workout app, which I already have on my phone.
I need to pull my HR monitor back out for some warm weather pacing.
I love that you don’t have to take your phone! Storing the information until you get home is a great feature, would make long training runs less cumbersome!
That sounds like an awesome product!!!
I like the vocal feedback.
I think the ‘doesn’t need your phone’ feature appeals to me. I’d like to incorporate swimming more, and I definitely dont want to have my big iphone in the pool! Great review!
The heart rate feature sounds great!
Using the TICKR X to track my progress with the 7-minute workout would be great. I’ve been doing it for a month, and it would be cool to see my progress.
Cool! I like that it can be used for a variety of activities!
Sounds like a great tracking system!
I’ve been using my Wahoo HRM for a couple of weeks now and really like it – can’t wait to run with it!
I love that it will store my workout data.
I’ve never used a HR monitor before, so that woudl be interesting!
No need to carry phone!
I love that it can record your information without your phone. I carry my phone 90% of the time, but sometimes it’s just nice to go for a run without a phone.
That’s really cool!
I assume it tracks your activity on a bike. I would really like that feature!
This looks really neat… I love that you don’t need your phone and it has that comparison feature so you can trak progress!
I love the idea of a HR monitor that you don’t need a watch or phone with! I think giving HR training a shot could really help my running, plus in the not too distance future I’m hoping to be pregnant, so a HR monitor would be very useful in safely keeping up with my workouts.
This sounds like a fun toy! I regret not getting a Garmin with a heart rate monitor and I don’t carry a phone when I run so this would be a fun addition!
All the running stuff (stride counting, etc) sound awesome! I need something like this!
cool! I really need one of these!
I love the voice command feature, and that you don’t have to carry around your phone! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

Oh nice. I like real time updates!
How neat! I don’t always have my phone on me, so I like that it’s not necessary. I’m very curious about my HR during workouts so it would be a great monitor to have!
I love the 7 minute work out app!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like that it counts your reps
The HRM is important to me in my training. I would totally use it to track how hard I’m working.
Yay for a great giveaway! This sounds awesome.
I just got one of these to review!! So excited to try it out!
I really want to try out using a heart rate monitor, I am just curious to see how intense my different workouts are
The 7 min workout would motivate me on days I really don’t want to get up and moving.
heart rate monitor, which I’ve just gotten interested in
This looks awesome – totally entering! I really have wanted a heart rate monitor for so long. I have a garmin but without the HR monitor. I think this would really help me in training.
Never heard of this gadget! Sounds awesome!! This is a fun giveaway! :))
I have a wahoo kickr bike trainer and am trying to get wahoo accessories.
I love that you can wear it in the pool!
I like that it looks like it’s really good at heart rate tracking!
I love that you can get feedback during your workout, but don’t have to carry your phone. I don’t usually go for devices that make me carry my phone, since I’d rather not workout with it, so this feature really appeals to me.
Ooh! I can’t wait to try mine out! I love that you can wear it in the pool! Will have to check out your review next!
I love that it monitors your heart rate, because that’s what I’m looking for most in a fitness tracker. Its a bonus that it’s wearable, to free up your hands!
I like the heart rate and cadence features.
I like the fact that it can collect the data and sync it later.
I love that the monitor will collect your workout data and remember it, to be synced later!!!
The heart rate feature!
i like the heart rate tracker
I like that it has a treadmill mode.
That’s awesome! I just have a polar but it would be cool to win this!
I love that the TICKRx counts reps! I didn’t know that any trackers could do that!
Using a heart rate monitor is a great way to monitor your fitness. And the fact that it has voice makes it super cool!

The voice indicator
Love that you don’t have to carry your phone!
How cool is that?! I love that you don’t have to count your reps – I am terrible at keeping track; apparently I am easily distracted 🙂
i like how you can still sync it without having your phone all the time.
I like that you don’t need your phone. I don’t want to have to bring my phone everywhere.
I dig that I don’t have to carry my phone on me. Pretty cool!
