Hey 2015, it’s me Marcia.
This year I would like finally learn how to swim, the real, face-in-the-water way, and conquer my first triathlon without drowning.
It would also be super-duper awesome if I also did a boatload of destination races this year. It’s not a resolution, though, just a reminder to myself to try and have the best year yet because fun is what it’s all about.
The thing I am looking forward to most this year is traveling with my family.
I’ll use the one thing that truly gets me out of bed in the morning which are my two almost-incontinent dogs to help me get up, get caffeinated and get after my #NoExcuses 2015.
Speaking of excuses (ahem), my very favorite excuse is that taking care of my kids comes first and I have used it to get out of doing my workouts and writing my blog on more than one occasion.
I vow to move my body and be more healthy this year even if it means I have to stop watching Sex & The City reruns.
Even if my alarm clock gets eaten by the dog in the middle of the night, I’ll still be awakened by two relentlessly whimpering canines begging to go out before it’s too late.
I will stop blaming the kids for wanting to bake chocolate chip cookies everyday when everyone knows it was really me.
My fear of getting water up my nose and ultimately drowning is not the reason I make excuses (yes it is). I will show my inner landlubber who’s boss this year and get my swim on.
I know that drinking pool water is better than sitting in front of the TV with a jar of Betty Crocker Vanilla frosting.
I will reward myself by buying myself something reeeealllly nice in Europe this summer.
No Excuses 2015 has just begun and already I am imagining myself a winner. I can’t wait to rock everything from Augusta Active. I can’t wait till my sweaty friends are jealous of how fresh, clean and alive I am between workouts with help from ShowerPill body wipes. I can see myself spanking my tri in new Tie One On Leggings from Actio926 and looking fit and fly while doing it. And of course, I’ll be taking my workouts to the next level and improving my posture with my new ActivMotion Bar to help me train for my next RnR half marathon with Sasquatch Racing.
Oh, and let’s not forget how amazing my tank will smell during my strength training session after washing with some WIN Detergent. And lastly, I’ll keep rocking my 2015 with clean eats and nutrition from Beaming with Health!

“Taking care of the kids” is the lie I tell myself, too! This made me laugh, I’ll play along tomorrow!

2 incontinent dogs?! Yikes! I am liking the idea of destination runs and learning to swim.

I’m always worried about getting water up my nose – I hate that feeling. And, plain frosting is my favorite thing!!!
I think you are going to crush your tri since you have made this the year of no excuses.

Ha ha about the chocolate chip cookies. I try to blame the kids for having to make yet another batch of rocky road but no one believes me because they’re all too scared to have it without permission.
