Happy Friday! I’m linking up for Friday Five today with Courtney, Mar and Cyn. The topic today? What’s in your gym bag?
I’ve been hitting up the gym in a big way lately so a better question would be what’s NOT in my gym bag? Before we get started, let me just say my Apera Gym Bag is THE BOMB. Check out full review of that here. Ok let’s go:
1. Since I’m training for my first tri, all sorts of swim stuff is in my gym bag. My TYR suit, Cayman goggles I got from Erica, swim cap and pull buoy. Even though my stroke leaves much to be desired, I can still look good. Fake it til you make it, right?
2. Asics Gel-Fit Sana Shoes. I love these for strength training, Body Pump classes, really everything at the gym. They feel as good as they look. Full review is here.
3. MeStrength Electrolyte drink mix. I’m testing this. It has creatine in it to help your body perform high-intensity work. Full review and your chance to try some coming soon. My ratty Nike lifting gloves. You don’t wanna know how old these are. They’re a little ripped but they still get the job done. Tried and true.
4-5: Revelation #1 since having a female teenager in the house: they take everything: ie: hairbrush, hair ties, headbands, makeup, you name it, they make everything their own. I was delighted to get this Ecotools hairbrush in my #FrostyVoxBox from Influenster. My gym bag has turned into a hiding spot for “my stuff”. Oh and since my hair still hasn’t grown out enough to not have frontal fly-aways, I’m loving these headbands from RunningSkirts.
Those are just some of the things I drag to the gym. Can you tell this was not a running day? Tell me what your gym bag essentials are!
I got my dad an apera gym bag for his birthday and he loves it! I really don’t have a need for a gym bag so its not something I would get for myself. I never shower at the gym so all I bring is a pair of headphones:)
Oh my gosh–I never understood what it was like having a girl until lately, when my daughter has taken all my hair stuff! Drives me crazy.
Love that apera bag–I use mine all the time.
I think the real workout may be in carrying said gym bag. LOL. I do like yours! I can’t do without headbands, too many fly-aways from my (oops) too short hair.
I don’t have a gym bag right now because I pretty much only work out at home, or I go running. I used to have shower stuff in my gym bag because my old apartment only had a bathtub, so if I wanted an actual shower I had to go to the gym!
Since my gym is n my basement, I don’t have to pack a gym bag. 🙂
I don’t use a gym, as my gym is the trails/my basement. But in the past I always had change of clothes, deodorant, hair brush, water, shoes, and extra socks!
deoderant, pony tail holders, headbands, earbuds, spare socks.
My gym bag is out of commission but still packed. It is ready and waiting for the day I can take it to my favorite place. It has my clothes, shoes, shampoo, face wash, comb and q tips. Towel always gets packed last minute
I’m not a gym bag kind of girl since I like to get in an get out– I’d rather shower at home but my gym essentials are headphones, i pad or ipod depending on what I am watching or listening, good headband and water bottle!
Aren’t the Apera bags the best?! I love mine!
Wow whats in your gym bag? Towel Vaseline spare clothes. Yurbuds. Thats pretty much it. Haha.
Fun! I don’t have a gym bag but you’ve given me an idea…stay tuned…
That is such a cute sweaty band. I have a skirt with the same style that would match perfect. I may need to get that headband.
It has been a long time since I packed a gym bag – one of the things I love the most about working out at home:)
I LOVE my Apera yoga bag! Best bag ever!! And I’ve been wearing my gel-fit asics as well for crosstraining and still loving them. I don’t go to the gym without my strength training for runners book!
No gym bag for me. I never go.
I am loving the Apera bag! I need to look into that. Never go to the gym without a hand towel and water bottle!
LOL, I gave the brush I got to my daughter because she has longer hair than I do!
