Trigger happy and it feels good: I officially registered for the Flying Pig Skyline Chili 3-way last night. That’s a 5k, 10k and half marathon over Flying Pig weekend next May. Thing 1 is in for the kids’ marathon. Thing 2 is in for the Flying Piglets race. Should be piggish fun! What races are you signed up for next year? NYCM is my other ‘biggie’.
I picked up this ghastly fantastic skull yesterday as I was hunting for a cheap white sheet for Thing 1’s ghost costume. Isn’t it fab? Plus it was an additional 50% off so $6 later, it is mine. Had to totally argue at the checkout though to get the sale price, despite the fact the display was a mere 10 ft. away. Don’t you hate when you have to do that?
Speaking of white sheets, I was tempted to grab a white shower curtain for Thing 1’s costume instead as Chi-town is slated to have it’s rainiest Halloween in 19 years. It’s pouring already and expected to continue. Boo.

I have not heard of the 3-way! Have you ever done the half/full Flying Pig? I haven’t and would like to someday…but the 3-way sounds like fun too!
I really want to do Flying Pig this year! I just wish I could find a cheap flight from NY. I absolutely LOVE the skull. I hope it stops raining for the trick or treating tonight. Have fun!

Oooh, I have never heard of the Flying Pig Skyline Chili 3-Way. It sounds like a blast. I happen to love Skyline Chili and I have to imagine that they would serve some at the post-race party, no? That by itself is motivation to sign up for any race, in my opinion, heehee.

Rainy here, too (day 3!) – I feel bad for all the kiddos and their big plans (glad that my boys are older and don’t want to go out!!).

Wendy March Madness was my first half in 2007 and I’ve done it every year since except for this year. It will sell out in less than an hour so be ready to rumble on that one early. I doubt I’ll do it, but the thought has entered my mind…

Fun!! We’re going to be spectating at the Pig, so we need to meet up!!!! We’re registered for a 100 mile triathlon, a half marathon and soon our Ironman! Plus some other running races 🙂

We’ve had every weather condition trick-or-treating under the sun. I’m glad we’re out of the costume phase now…but I do kinda miss it.

The Flying Pig is my favorite half marathon ever!!! The hill is a doozy but still so fun!

Halloween isn’t big over here but I did notice a few kids going up an down the road in costume. I just prayed they wouldn’t come into our yard because I wasn’t prepared and didn’t want to have to share my super-secret stash.
