Loving, Not Loving

Loving: Our runner-friendly cooler weather.
Not Loving: This is supposed to be summer. Not late October. Give me some pool-worthy heat!

Loving: My new washer and dryer. Did not fully realize how inadequate my 15-year old relics were until I got a taste of these.
Not loving: Just days after the new washer and dryer were delivered, the microwave went on the fritz, followed by the king of all plumbing fiascos that required having the driveway dug up to fix. Truly when it rains it pours. When the kids look to us for a college fund, I guess we’ll show them our shiny new sewage pipe. Oh and I suppose the driveway needs to be paved now too…one of these years.

Loving: Our ‘festival of summer birthdays’ officially drew to a close with the final party yesterday.
Not loving: Having leftover cake shouting my name. Maybe the pig motif will repel me?

Loving: I finally stopped procrastinating and made an appointment for my annual physical.
Not loving: That appointment is this week.

Loving: The Bachelorette finale starts tonight. Please give us some juice already.
Not loving: That they’ve been drawing it out for what seems like 8 years now. Am I the only genius who can tell since day 1 that Brooks is not that into her?

Loving: As a Verizon Voices Ambassador, a new mystery ‘device’ is scheduled to be delivered to my doorstep today (if the FedEx guy doesn’t fall in the hole in my driveway).
Not loving: Ok, I am loving every bit of this one! Any guesses what it could be?

    Not Loving: the water I have to swim in is full of seaweed and reports of high E. Coli levels-BLECH!
    Loving: the last 4 days I have had off from work-WAHOO!

    Not Loving: they said it was in 2 parts?? What can take so long as to stretch it over 2 parts??

  4. I hate house things that require lots of dollars and show nothing for the investment! That was us and new gutters last year.

    I am in Ohio right now..seriously, it is fall here! But I will certainly like my run here tomorrow compared to what I would have in Md!

  5. Not loving: this sucky weather summer we are having. It’s just not fair.

    Loving: ummm, I guess I’m not really loving much right now. I’m mostly just tolerating things. lol That makes me sound like a total bitch, doesn’t it?

  6. I feel your pain on the house front. I have to paint / need to paint all three of my kids bedrooms and I swear I’m going to give myself ulcers. I’m putting it off until I can feel winter creeping in. At this rate, won’t be long HAHAHA! I can’t get over the pig cake. It looks soooo good.

  7. Since I’ve been unable to make it to the pool this year, I’m okay with the cooler temps.

    Sorry about all the household issues, that is super crappy. My microwave currently only works in the quick mode or whatever it’s called. Just happened a couple of weeks ago. I suppose I should have it fixed but…

    I’m still guessing a tablet of some sort. I have to work all day and it’s driving me crazy I don’t know what the Verizon device is.

    Loving – the wonderful summer day to bike ride on a new route.
    Not loving – that people keep reminding me summer will end and I’ll be back at school.

  9. I just read your comment on my blog about TBL being pushy. They had no packet pick up scheduled for race day and sent a really nasty reply when asked if we could pick up on Sunday. I heard more than one person talking about it. Took my chances and it was so easy and no big deal so why the nasty note about getting it the day before? I didn’t like that.

  10. What washer and dryer did you settle on. My washer is on it’s last leg:/ That pig face would not deter me. It would all end up in my mouth. Seriously the Bachelorette has been dragging this on forever! Yes, Brooks is not as into her as she is into him. I can’t wait to see what happens. Hopefully there will be something juicy tonight but they will probably make us wait until next week:( Sorry about your sewer pipe:(

  11. I have to say that I love this weather. Then again, I refer to myself as the pregnant polar bear, so I really need cool temps 24/7! 🙂

    Loving – vacation at the beach!
    Not Loving – last day today which means 2 long days of driving start tomorrow.

  15. Sucks about the appliances and home repairs. Seems like whenever we start making progress saving, we get a rash of car and/or house issues too.

    Loving? Running in the cool weather. Had our windows open last night in St. Louis. Crazy!

    Not loving? Traveling more weeks than not. I like my job, the people I work with, and the people in the places I go so I’m not complaining.

    Guilty pleasure TV show? I don’t watch much TV besides sports but love The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.

    NOT LOVING that I only have two more weeks of summer. I know…cry me a river. My husband isn’t sympathetic either.

    Loving my 9 year old getting out and bike riding with me. And still loving my iphone 5, even though I’m jealous of all the fun stuff you get to try out. 🙂
