Zensah is one of those rare companies where I’ve loved every product I tried.
I violated rule #1 of the runners code (don’t wear anything new on race day) when I bought Zensah arm sleeves at the expo and wore them for the first time at The Boston Marathon in 2010.
Zensah Arm Sleeves in Boston 2010
I repeated the same offense when I sported Zensah Calf Sleeves at the Marine Corps Marathon 2012. But both products performed beautifully so no foul.
Recently I had the opportunity to try out Zensah Compression Socks. Not just any boring, old-man socks though. These have all the fabulous Zensah compression properties but hello they’re NEON PINK ARGYLE, which makes them exponentially more fab. Plus there’s a whole mess of other argyle color combos if pink isn’t quite your thing.
Let’s review the benefits of compression shall we?
Graduated compression increases oxygenated blood flow and decreases recovery time. This means there is more compression where you need it (like ankles) so blood doesn’t pool in your feet.
– Moisture wicking fabric keeps the socks dry
– Silver ions for thermal regulation
– Padded toe and heel (love this!) for shock absorption
– Arch support keep feet feeling comfortable
I wear these argyle honeys after long runs when I lie around sipping Kombucha and ordering the Caveman around. Everyone does that right? Sip and give orders during recovery? I throw them in the washer and air dry. After several wash cycles they look and feel just as good as new. They made the trip to NC over Thanksgiving and I caught my MIL giving them the evil eye. But then again she gives everyone the evil eye so no news there. I wore them on the plane and after that UNC football stadium sprint fest I told you about. If Zensah made a compression body stocking I’d get one and be tempted to roll up in it like one big sporty Snuggie and hibernate there all winter. These socks also make a great holiday gift for those of you still shopping….tell me you are!
10 toes up for Zensah Compression Socks! Do you wear compression for recovery?

I love compression so much that I work for a compression company :).
I love sleeves, but recently switched to socks because they offer amazing achilles support. My other favorite are shorts, obviously. 😉

Hey, I took that pic of you and Katie in Boston :). Fun memories. Well, aside from my foot issue – which dogged me for two years. Whatever.
I’ve never worn compression anything. I’m too old school (read: old).

I am totally lame and have never tried any of the cool compression socks. Maybe I should have my husband put some in my stocking! What I really need are compression pants!!

They’re really cute. I’m a big fan of compression socks after long runs. It’s like you’re giving your calves a big hug.

Man, I love that argyle! I’d love to have a pr of compression socks, but I’ve still been too cheap to shell out the $$. Maybe if I ever get that next bike I’m saving for… 🙂

I wear compression socks after big runs and races. Had them on for the flight back from Calif. on Monday and I think it helped big time!

Marcia, you give the best reviews! So funny 🙂
Yep. I wear compression socks after (but not during) a race, or serious workout. If I can find 2 that match…
Carilyn Johnson (@CarilynJohnson) says
Love me all things compression after a race! 🙂 After Korea, I had to fly home (12 hours), and realized I forgot my compression pants. Hubz had to go find me super tight panty hose at the closest department store before we left. To this day, we laugh hysterically when he describes his experience of trying to explain how he needed extra small panty hose and that they were not for his 200 lb. body – in sign language because nobody spoke English!
