Let it be known I’ve never done a mud run. My idea of badassery does not involve barbed wire or leaping over fire pits. While I’m not averse to the idea of one of those furry Norse warrior helmets complete with horns, I always seem to be in some stage of training that makes me wanna roll up in the proverbial bubble wrap instead. Translation: I don’t want to get injured or singed before my fall marathon.
Enter Pretty Muddy. A brand spanking new race just for us girls that’s a little, um, more refined. Yes, there’s mud. Lots of it. But mud’s a great pore detoxifier you know.Β It’s a 5k course with architectural obstacles. There’s no time clock so you can go as fast or slow as you want. Go ahead and walk…or prance…or dance. It’s all good! The fun is topped off with an epic finish line party complete with music, drinks and plenty of celebration.

About to embark on my first Mud Run in a few weeks with a girl friend & her hubby! I just know its gonna be a blast & full of teamwork & mud! My first gals race was this year in Hawaii (Wahine Divas half) & it was so cool to be surrounded by awesome/ fit women! I would love to run Pretty Muddy and get a fun bunch of my friends to join in! So stoked!
