Thank you all for the get well wishes! Thankfully the fever has broken, the aches/pains/chills are gone, there’s still considerable chestular gunk but overall I am feeling worlds better and will attempt a very easy run today.
In honor of WIAW, here’s my day in food:
The day started with some green tea.
Breakfast was some Greek Yogurt with sliced berries, sprinkled with toasted almonds and chia seeds.
Lunch was some chicken tortilla soup similar to this one, but no avocado or tortilla strips or cilantro. I was sick remember?
Snack was a big ole carrot with some hummus
I had a completely different dinner planned. But because it was so nice out the kids convinced the Caveman we needed to go out to dinner.
So, Carribbean salad with chicken from Chile’s it was. Funny how after being sick one’s stomach seems about the size of a small ravioli pillow. I barely ate half of this.

I know much of this week’s loss is compliments of the flu. We’ll see if I can hold onto any of it.
Thank you for all the nice comments on my new blog home!
I still feel like I’m fumbling and bumbling with WordPress but at the same time it feels great to have finally pulled the trigger and changed over. Some of you are following the new blog just fine, some of you have told me you’re getting it in your Google Reader yet some are not. Honestly, I’m such a tech ninnie, I’m not sure what to suggest other than put this new url on your blogroll or like my new Facebook page because all blog posts will be posted there as well. Thank you all for bearing with my shenanigans! You are the bomb!

Sickness always seems to make me lose my appetite and thus drop some weight.
It’s one of the few benefits of getting sick!

It comes up on my dashboard just fine. I can’t remember if I manually added you but it works fine with me. I found if I had manually added blogs to the dashboard if they were wordpress I had no issues continuing following them.
And being sick makes me loose my appetite as well. I’m glad you are on the mend!

So glad you are feeling better. Hopefully the ‘chestular gunk’ is gone soon as well. My husband is home sick with a cold today and I’m hoping he doesn’t pass it on!

Well…I’ve already had breakfast, but now my stomach is growling again from all the food pics. Hate being pregnant…..
I’m glad you are feeling better girl, that’s good to hear. I added you to my blogroll and reader just fine, although, I had to manually do it, couldn’t figure out how to follow you from your page. My blog looks so ghetto now.

Now I am hungry – again.
I have tried to follow you from your home page – still trying to figure it out. Tech challenged I guess.

glad you are feeling better. That food looks so yum – I need to go find some breakfast! 🙂

Yum! I want your breakfast! I love fresh fruit! I actually got some strawberries at Costco the other day and they were delicious. I was surprised and pleased!
You show up in my Reader, but I added you manually to my subscriptions. I think that may make a difference.

So glad you are feeling better! When I switched over to WordPress, it took me awhile to get the hang of it. In fact, there are so many options, I still have to go through a lot of trial and error (I still have 2 blog pages and can’t figure out how to get rid of one), but you seem more technologically adept than me :).

Yum! Your day of food looked so much better than mine – a bit of cereal, some dry toast and salty crackers. No I’m not pregnant.

Great job on the weight loss; 5 lbs in two weeks is excellent. I think I managed that in the course of 6 months…then I managed to regain it all post-Carlsbad festivities. :/
Glad you’re feeling better!!!

When I had the flu – the Doctor told everyone to stop hassling me to eat because I was NOT hungry. She said I just need to ensure I get calories from fluids – gatorades, teas, OJ, etc. Glad to hear you are feeling better!
sara@domesticallychallenged says
You do have an awesome blog. And now? I want to come eat at your place, cause I am tired of all the crap I eat.

I’m glad you are starting to feel better! All of that food looks amazing!

Oooh, just liked your FB page!
That salad looks delish! Bummer that you couldn’t enjoy all of it with your post-flu tummy.

I am debating the switch as well… i just found a new site today that will help me get all of my blogs in one place- bloglovin.com kinda nice bc i can categorize my running, interiors, and food blogs separately
