With renewed focus on reeling in my weight before it gets completely out of control, I’ve joined What I Ate Wednesday at Peas and Crayons.
I was off to a strong start (down 1.8 pounds) last week before leaving for NYC.
Alas that progress was blown to shreds.
No thanks to this tasty morsel from Crumbs Bakery…
…and this super-sized B&W cookie…
…and a slab(s) of some of NYC’s finest pie
I returned from NYC down a measly 0.2 from my original starting point.
At least I didn’t gain it all back right? Yes, but darn close.
Yesterday was back-on-track day. Here’s what I ate:
Breakfast/Pre-run: Half a cup of pumpkin spice coffee, lots of water and half a ThinkThin Bar
Post-run Recovery Shake: Coconut milk, frozen mixed berries, Sun Chlorella granules,
Vanilla Protein Powder, Spinach and a splash of Orange Juice
Snack: A beloved Honeycrisp with a dollop of almond butter.
Plenty of water throughout the day.
I made it with brown rice and used fresh pineapple instead of mango–equally delish.
I contemplated an Oreo afterward but stayed strong.
Today’s weigh in: Down 1.4 pounds.
Note: My name is Marcia and I’m a Ghirardelli Bittersweet Chocaholic. It’s been 8 days since I’ve dipped into the pillow-case size bag I so stupidly, in a time of weakness, dragged home from Costco.
What is your biggest food temptation?
