Compost Gone Wild
I returned from vacation to find my humble compost out of control.
Very warm temps coupled with nobody home to turn it and probably not enough carbon caused it to go south not in a good way.
I’d show you a pic of it but surely I’d throw up if I tried to take one since this is a family blog I’d better not. Suffice it to say, it’s a smelly bin of anaerobic sludge accented with leviathan-size worms.
What’s a studly runner to do? Well make the Caveman dump it of course!
I’m not finished with composting just yet, plans are in the works for an outdoor pile rather than a bin. Hey wait wasn’t this Thing 1’s Girl Scout project in the first place?
Jilted
I got word yesterday that I won’t be running the RnR Chicago Half in August. Apparently my charity team has opted to do a golf event instead, which is fine. Just wish I’d have known sooner. Now I’m looking for a rebound race. Madison is a possibility, the Diva Half in Vail sounds divine but I’m not sure I could pull it off on such short notice. Any ideas?
Questions Please!
I’ve been tagged by our beloved Jill for some Studly Q and A. Please use the comment section to fire away any burning questions you have about me, my running, my ice cream streak, injuries, races, compost, how I got and stay studly, likes, dislikes, etc. I will answer them in a few days and then I’ll tag 5 peeps to do the same.
