I had one of, if not THE best, workouts of the year yesterday:
2(8x400m) flanked by warmup/cooldown miles, followed by yoga, topped off with a little something for the core. You know you’re in trouble when your workout is expressed as an equation.
The final three intervals got a little ragged but overall I’ll take it.
BUT THEN:
I blew the awesome workout to hell with one of, if not THE worst, food days of the year yesterday.
Per the birthday girl’s request:
Recovery meal at Sonic:
Burger+fries*+mozzarella sticks*, 2(slices birthday cake*+ 1/2 cupcake), topped off with lemon slush.
I had a decent dinner: (quinoa w/veggies, broccoli, cauliflower, lean protein) but wow I felt terrible all day. That’s what I get when I let a 6-year old to dictate food choices. Apparently my lactate threshold is going up while my bad food threshold is going down. Definitely a good thing.
* Just a few fries and 2 cheese sticks but still I felt gross.
* It had Tiffany-blue icing: how could I resist?
I seem to be shopping as hard as I’m running and eating lately too:
