We dropped off the kids, headed downtown and boarded the expo-bound shuttle.
I met Ryan and Sarah Hall. One word: Adorable.
I also met Dean Karnazes. Two words: Tiny and Chiseled. (sorry no pics as official event photog Modern Caveman was off slacking at the Clif Bar buffet). I have it on good authority (Caveman) that Dean happened by the Lupus tent at mile 14 just ahead of me and partook of the ice. See? Even Dean gets hot!
My angry achilles got some TLC courtesy of K-Tape

What would an expo be without a little shoe whorsing around?
I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it was to finally meet the rest of the Lupus Charity team and carb load at Buca di Beppo. We feasted on pizza, pasta, chicken parm and cheesecake that will inhabit my dreams for many nights to come.
Marathon eve was capped off with a performance by Jewel in Millennium Park and fireworks seen right from our 31st floor hotel window. Awesome!
