We interrupt this regularly written blog for a camping break. With Thing 1 and the Girl Scouts…and the mosquitoes, all 97 bajillion of them…deep in the North Woods…on the banks of Lake Titicaca….ok not Titicaca (I just wanted to write that) but there is a lake…well a body of water anyway…and Lord help me there’s fishing coming up…if it would ever stop raining. I’ve already eaten my weight in s’mores and I’m quite sure I’ll be multicolored up to my elbows for weeks to come due to an incident with a tie-dye bucket. But rest assured I am the coolest (and in my dreams the fastest) chaperone this troop has ever seen.
Hope everyone is behaving.
I’ll be back to catch up soon!
Awwe! Have fun! It makes me miss the good ol days of being in Girl Scouts and going on campouts.
Have fun…we'll miss you!
I wondered where your daily blog went and figured you were doing something totally fun with the kiddos. What's more fun than eating your weight in smores with a bajillion mosquitoes swarming overhead!!!!
Enjoy and try to run!
Cheers from HK!
"XTB" Xavi,
Wear your bug spray!
with words like Titicaca….you have to be by far the coolest! ahaha that made me laugh out loud
Enjoy and you know multicolored could be all the rage! you trend setter you
You're VERY brave ๐
HAHAHA at Lake Titicaca. Have fun!
There is nothing better than Girl Scout camping in the North Woods! Good luck with the fishing:)
Ha! That's awesome, eat a s'more for me.
So fun! Hope you're all enjoying yourselves!
I was just thinking about you today! Seriously!
That is soooo cool you're camping with the GS! I was a GS for 13 years and my mom was our troop leader all the way through elementary school. I remember all those times fondly and I know that Thing 1 will look back on this too with special love! Have fun!
You are making it sound SO appealing! I'm sure it will be fun–enjoy.
You are a brave lady. Enjoy!
HAHAHA Have fun. I don't envy you … but then again you probably will have a blast. Hope the darn rain lets up. We've been getting it out here too and it's really making me mad.
I LOVED camp when I was a kid. Somehow, it seems less appealing today …
Enjoy yourself!
what an adorable blog. And you qualified for Boston at your second marathon? You must be a natural runner. Congratulations! And thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I had a good run with my husband and kids last night so that felt good. I still had to walk some but not nearly as much as I normally do (once was because a couple dogs started to chase us – my legs were shaky and my heart was going fast).
These camping trips are usually tiring, but so much fun. Where great memories are made ๐
Awesomeness! Enjoy your time!
Your kids are lucky and they'll never forget those memories you've made! You are such an awesome mom; runner-camper!
