Thanks to Molly at I’m a Sleeper Baker for this honor.
I am to share 7 things about myself then pass this award on to 15 bloggy friends.
1. I am in the single parenting role again this week as the Caveman traipses around Vegas under the guise of attending a conference. Grrrrr.
2. Chocolate addiction update: I subbed in Godiva Chocolate Truffle coffee (black with a bit of Stevia) for my usual chocolate covered almonds/berries, etc. this week. So far so good, but the week is young.
3. One of Thing 2’s favorite things to do is pull the cushions off the couch and play Mermaid Sea. The other day she was balancing on said cushion as it teetered half off the couch. Inevitably she leaned forward enough for it to create a slide and ended up going forehead first into the edge of the granite coffee table.
4. I hurriedly wrapped some ice in a T-shirt that turned out to be one Thing 1 had just brought home as an award for selling Girl Scout cookies. Hope the blood comes out.
5. Thing 2 now sports a bruisey gash on her head where new shades of yellow, purple and green bloom daily. Just in time for preschool graduation. Ahhh parenthood.
6. Since spring is in full swing and I’ve finally shed my fleece layer, I kicked aside my boring Merrell flip-flops and got these jewel-encrusted honeys: The problem is they are rather attention getting. Let’s just say blingy sandals and runner’s feet complete with calluses and blood blisters don’t really mix.
7. I have a cheetah running skirt gathering dust in my closet because I don’t feel ‘fast enough’ to wear it. I wonder when the tortoise print is coming out?
Now because I am a lazy slug and have to run out to the bus stop with the kids in my jewel encrusted sandals and pink bunny pj tops tucked in my jeans, I will pass this auspicious award onto the 1st 15 commentors on yesterday’s yogurt post. So if you said something, you’re it!

At least your toenails are painted! I have given up completely on my feet . . .
On Saturday I used a random sweatshirt that came home from daycare to clean up a poop emergency in the car. That went straight to the garbage. You do what you have to in an emergency. ๐

Hah, the turtle skirt.. If I may be as bold to state, ….If wearing that during a race, I hope that it does not make you produce a turtle tail…. You should go ahead and wear the cheetah skirt, Sound as though you have an interesting life. I love Godivia Milk Chocolate. Take care.

Your feet don't look bad at all! I haven't bothered to paint my toenails in TWO years. So bad. I love those shoes though…very cute!

Tortoise skirt: now, that's funny!
I'm with you about the feet thing. One of my co-workers was sporting expensive manicured toes today. Two things were obvious: (1) she is not a runner; (2) she doesn't have children.
Chocolate – mmm. And, yes, I run in a chocolate skirt.
Adam says
OUCH. Isn't that the way it always works? Always right before graduation, or pictures, or easter!!
Julie says
Hi Marcia,
I love those sandals and your feet look great! Cute toenails:) Funny about the chocolate…I just ate a handful of choc. chips:)
Geri says
Love love love the sandals. I've been looking at a similar pair on the cover of an Ann Taylor mailer. May have to check them out this weekend. As far as your feet go, I had a physical yesterday and the nurse looked at my black toenails and scared-up knee and said, "Runner battle scars". I say flaunt 'em if you've got 'em!
And tell Thing 2 I hope her head heals up quickly.
On The Road... says
Cheetah huh?? ๐ Dust that baby off!
