Ok, ok you twisted my arm…here’s the hot yoga top I am so fond of, in all it’s glory. If you told me a year ago I’d be putting pics of myself in yoga tops on the internet I’d have thought you were batty. But clearly it is I who has the batty market cornered. Forgive the dicey pics, my photographer is 8, and pay no attention please to my wacko expression.
This top is by YMX (a Yellowman company) exclusively for Athleta, which I adore. I’ve been treating myself to activewear from Athleta for years now and I have to say I’ve always been thrilled with their stuff, although it can be pricey.
I put this top through it’s paces in a yoga class yesterday and it did not disappoint. It was stretchy and supremely comfy. It stayed put in down dog, did not ride up during tree pose…really no complaints, other than the fact that Ms. Sports bra peeks out a smidge–I suppose in this case a black one would be the better choice, alas I do not own said color. The design (did I say how hot I think it is?) is inspired by original works from master tattoo artists and is printed on perspiration wicking fabric. Even the back is stylish.
Fitness Assessment: Some of you asked me about this. It was basically a maximum strength test on various gym machines and free weights for the Activ Trax program. I tend to rush my strength workouts, revert to doing the same machines over and over, and neglect some crucial-to-running body parts, cough hamstrings cough. This program will give me a customized workout printout everytime I go to the gym to keep me challenged and hopefully progressing. It can include strength, flexibility, cardio, even menu plans. Hah! Just in time to ramp up the Boston training! I will keep you posted on how this goes.

Great top – and way to show off those push-up arms! I did week 6, day 2, column 3 of the pushup challenge today and still doubt that this will lead to 100 in a row by next week. But I'm still doing more than I used to, so that's good.

Namaskar, Thank you for this wonderful article. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be the one who introduces Yoga to a beginner. To see how people respond to this amazing practice fills me with satisfaction, and I love that I have been the vehicle to bring this experience to them. Wise words,
