With the 2012 racing season winding down, if you’re like me, you might be shopping around for 2013 races. How about putting some Blue Ridge Marathon action on your schedule?
The full marathon course boasts 3,620 feet of elevation gain and 7,234 feet of elevation change. My quads are burning just typing this. If you’re not up for the whole enchilada, there’s a half marathon option as well. It’s all good though because you’ll be treated to breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountain scenery as you put your strength and endurance to the test.
The Blue Ridge Marathon takes place on April 20, 2013 in Roanoke, VA.
This all sounds awesome right? I knew you’d love it.
WIN IT
One lucky winner will be chosen randomly to join ME–because you know I love badassery–and hills–I love hills, especially with no oxygen–oxygen is overrated–at the Blue Ridge Marathon or Half Marathon.

That’s pretty awesome. I’d love to run a marathon with you, but I don’t think I could keep up!
The most badass thing I’ve done? I’m torn on what to say! Lame as it is – I’m going with my first marathon this past October!
Most badass thing this year…this racing year was all about badass – not a single flat, easy race in the bunch!
I tweeted! (tracyrunning)
I shared on Facebook
I would love to challenge myself with this marathon.
My most badass thing that i did this year…I loved the mud dog zombie run that i just ran! I also just ran my first marathon and signed up for my 2nd two weeks later. Let’s see if I survive!

Not entering because I have a race that same weekend already, but I am very jealous of whoever does win!
I’m not entering but I remember quite a few bloggers giving away entries into this race last year. It must be really tough if they have to give entries away – just saying.
The most bad@$$ thing I’ve done is conquer obesity by losing 85lbs and becoming a runner! December will be 1 year of keeping the weight off and I just finished my second half marathon!!
I also tweeted the giveaway (@amkania).
I would love to meet you and run this, but not sure I could swing getting out there or leaving my kids. I am certainly going to spread the word!
I’m also not sure I could make the trip, but I’ll help spread the word!!

Even though my finish time was terrible, I still count training (by myself) for and finishing (in gajillion degree heat) my first marathon, Chicago 2010, as the most badass thing I’ve ever done.
So I’m tossing my name in the hat. Who doesn’t want to run up a mountain for their birthday?
Well, Marcia I never got to meet you at MCM and I would love to meet you. This would be a great opportunity and it is not far down the road from where I live. I am willing to be badass and run this with you. As for the most hardcore thing I have ever done, well I am an ice climber. I have not done it since I left Canada, but in college I would often go to Kakabeka Falls in Thunder Bay and climb up the big waterfall when it iced over in the winter. Tough to do, but FUN!!
My mom shared this in a FB group, so I could run with her 🙂
My badass wife is running the half so I would like to be badass and run with her in my Nike badass “shut up and run” tshirt.
Forgot to say my wife pinned on Pinterest since I am on the road traveling. She will also share on FB.
I’m in! The most bad ass thing I’ve ever done was the Marine Corps Marathon a week and a half ago. I’m hooked! Such an amazing experience and I can only imagine with the BRM it would be just as great!

Sent an email to some of my running buddies!
Pinned it! Can you tell I really really wannnnnt it? 🙂
Wish I lived closer, I would totally be in! Sometimes you just need to add a little torture to your life:) Good luck to everyone:)
That looks like an awesome race! I hope you plan to do it, too, so we can read the race report. Always fun to hear about those kinds of races!

Count me in! I LOVE HILLS AND LACK OF OXYGEN! My friends can attest to it – I’m never allowed to pick the routes we run. The most badass thing I’ve ever done is backpack the 500 mile Colorado Trail with my dog last year. Talk about hills and lack of oxygen! Over 90,000 ft of elevation gain with much of the trail above 10,000 ft and climbed 2 14,000 ft peaks!

I would love to win the entry! It would be my 2 nd full and I’m not scared of a good challenge! Oxygen is overrated anyways right!
I want to win!! The most badass thing I’ve done was train all year for my first half marathon!!!
I shared this giveaway with many of my running buddies who are as excited as I am to run the Blue Ridge!
I’ve done a lot of badass races, including the Spartan Beast, Tough Mudder, and New River Marathon (down the road from the Blue Ridge Marathon), but the most badass thing I’ve ever done is have the courage for an all-natural, medicine-free childbirth after having a previous cesarean. 🙂 Thanks for hosting this awesome giveaway!

Most badass thing I’ve ever done?? Run Goofy Challenge at WDW and then take out Chef Mickey’s breakfast buffet the next morning! 😉
Tweeted it to all of my fabulous followers! 🙂
I pinned it on Pinterest!
I just shared my pin from Pinterest on Facebook!
I just subscribed to your blogpost!
I instagrammed it too! Is that an option? lol!
I would love to run this race since it’s so close to my alma mater, Lynchburg College! The most badass thing I’ve ever done is sign up for an ultra marathon that I am running on December 15th this year! I am running the Seashore State Park 50k!
I run as a mom! A marathon while pregnant made me a better runner:)
Well? Who won?!?!
